I was born in New York and lived some time there before being transported to Los Angeles. I began bicycling at 11 and I was one of the lucky few who enjoyed the freedom to explore and spend time outdoors. Thanks to this I never developed the skittishness of the natural world. Living without the creature comforts is more than worth the amazing vistas which I enjoy.
In 2001 I took a bicycle trip across the United States to promote bicycle transportation and have used the internet and community events to continue this effort.
Over the 20 years that I have traveled on two wheels, I have gained a sympathy not only for bicylists, but the pedestrians, and children. This is why I work so diligently to reduce automobile dependancy.
